Actress . Singer . Impersonator . Ventriloquist

After finishing a 12 year run with menopause the musical, a seven-year run with honky-tonk angels, and seven years with legends in concert, here is Lori Legacy’s story. Lori legacy has captured the hearts of everyone she has performed for across the globe with her many talents. An accomplished singer, actress, ventriloquist, and tribute artist, Lori impressively re-creates not just the looks and vocals, but the very essence of Dolly Parton, Charo, Connie Francis, Lucille Ball, and Sonny and Cher(yes both). Adding that to her ventriloquism abilities, demonstrates Lori’s mastery over vocal control. Lori was very shy as a child but loved to perform and sing. Her mother bought her a ventriloquist puppet that she used to teach herself how to master. Lori’s thought was that people would look at the puppet and not her. The other way to conquer her shyness was to jump both feet into whatever she truly wanted to do but was too afraid to. She auditioned and starred in almost every play in high school, she went through the Miss America program where she was a talent winner and run her up in Miss Oregon at the state level and is Miss Clackamas county 1986. Lori was the first ventriloquist to combine tribute artistry and ventriloquism.

Lori’s love of stage and camera has taken her on a roller coaster ride through this business we call “entertainment”. After performing in night clubs and state fairs across the country, Lori went on to open up for artists such as “Asleep at the Wheel,” “Sweethearts of the Rodeo,” and “Roy Clark”, as well as star in stage production shows around the world, including a PACAF tour for the Air Force in Korea, Japan, Philippines, Singapore and Hawaii. Since the tender age of 10, Lori found herself in Las Vegas starring as Dolly Parton in the critically acclaimed Legends In Concert which she enjoyed doing in pigeon Forge, Tennessee, Atlantic City, Laughlin Nevada, Las Vegas Nevada, Australia, Chicago and South Dakota for seven years. After Legends, Lori joined forces with Sharon Haynes and Corrie Sacks to form the very endearing show we all know and love, called “Honky Tonk Angels” for a wonderful seven years at the Gold Coast in Las Vegas. It was pretty poignant at a time in Lori’s life, heading into menopause, that she land in the award-winning “Menopause the Musical” for a 12 year run on the Las Vegas strip.

Before during and after her long show runs, Lori Legacy found a love in front of the camera. Lori was in a short film called Closure with Frank Gorshin. She did some commercial work for Levi dockers and Television specials, such as Dick Clark’s Your Big Break, Look-A-Like Hotel, Hee Haw, You Can Be A Star, Maxims Midnight Movie Madness, Tom T. Hall’s Christmas special, Tony Sacca’s Christmas Special with the real Charo, BBC’s ET and won the wrangler country showdown for the Northwest region. Lori entertains at various children’s hospitals and convalescent Center‘s across the states with her ventriloquist puppets. She also volunteers time with Winn Winn, Miracle League, Shade Tree, Childrens Miracle Network, Rotary’s Santa Clothes Program, Susan G Komen, and many many others.

These days you can find Lori Legacy splitting her time between Las Vegas and Los Angeles. Whether Lori is acting on stage or TV and film or doing ventriloquist puppet’s for Children’s Hospital’s, or portraying her many different characters like Dolly Parton, she is at home with pouring her heart out for audiences worldwide. Lori Legacy feels her greatest accomplishments are her two fabulous children Ryan and Elizabeth Hunt, who in their own right, are very successful with everything that they pursue. She could not be more proud. Managing an entertainment career while raising two children and being there for them is not an easy thing to do. It was the only thing Lori ever wanted to do. Being a mother, baking, Girl Scouts, music lessons, school activities, sports and then getting to do what you love to do for a living is what makes Lori Legacy a success story. This story continues. So please stay tuned.
